Something weird has happened to me.
About 2 weeks ago, I read the book We Were Liars by E Lockhart. I gave that book 4.5 stars and raved about it. This book was read just after a slump. However, I've read about 4 books since then, and my looking at my review of it, I want to lower the star rating.
I don't know if any fellow bloggers have done anything similar, but looking back, the book wasn't as good as it seemed in my review. This has lead me to wonder, why do I want to lower it? Is it because I've read better books? Or have I just forgotten the story?
This hasn't happened to me before, but I've just come out of about a year-long reading slump. Yep, a whole year. Has anybody had a slump that long?? I just didn't have books to read and never bothered to find any. I'm debating whether that slump has lowered my expectations of books? Shall I re-read the Harry Potter series? The Fault in Our Stars?
Apologies for the short post, but I wanted to find out your opinions. What do you think? Has anything similar happened to you? What was your longest reading slump?
I'll leave you all with a quote;
